I always assumed all Caitians have Digitigrade foot structures, but advancements in technology allow them to still wear "Starfleet Standard Issue Boots", no more identifying whether somone killed a Klingon Chancellor by Grav Boots, some Catians probably just don't wear them because they probably still pinch the toes. (Edit: STO actually is the source of this, a Caitian Captain by default has Standard Issue (or variant) Boots, but if you remove them in a off duty costume, they'll have Digitigrade Feet)

TNG season one is definitely worth a watch. But if someone who had never seen the show asked me where to start, I would say season two. Then after they watch it through go back and watch season one.

One thought, towards the end of the war there was a strong belief among the nazis that they would make peace with the western allies and collectively attack the soviets. Also the Von Stauffenberg plot to assinate Hitler included a planed coup after which a non nazi administration was to have been established which again would have sued for peace with the western allies. For many reasons neither scenario happened but either would make a good genesis for the Terran empire.

I figure if archers crew did some thing that would mess up the natural evolution of a species and determine the dominant species on the planet, the Q would find a way to fix it. Isn’t that their job?

Primes have been outright states to be canon by both series directors. Proteus Ridley exists as he does as an attempt for a miminum levek consistency (in that he was slowing returning to an organic form). Other M is canon. Just not well written and even worsely dubbed. Contradictions be damned, Zero Mission and Samus Returns contradicts Super/Fusion, as she per Fusion Samus only learned to Wall Jump and Shine Spark in Super Metroid. Metroid is not a Bastion of consistency.

If the nukes over Japan saved more lives than lost, then it would be immoral not to do so. This is a legitimate, sincere position to take. Thus the disrespect of that position calls into severe question the judgment of only leaving the possibility for one side. Hard to trust someone who knows a moral question has two sides yet talks as if his position was the only legitimate one.

I could take an iPad to the year 1 and have twenty children playing video games within an hour. Babies are born and within a few years acclimate to whatever age we are in. "Uncontacted peoples" today, here on earth, must be morally behind. I doubt they have women's rights, children's rights, medicine which will prevent / cure diseases, glasses, even simple knowledge to sterilize surgeries. If any modern child would somehow stumble into one of those "uncontacted" tribes, I'd be horrified, the child would be at extreme risk of being touched inappropriately, even killed. No different than a kid falling in to a lion's pit or a pit with gorillas. We have a moral obligation to educate moral privatives. The only reason we don't is because we are not perfect and critics can't allow the notion that we're much better off than we were hundreds or thousands of years ago. Two thousand years ago, we didn't even have the idea of "morality", we had a construct of "virtue" but that was an early, limited version of morality. Are we perfect today? Of course not. We also don't know all of science or psychology. Are we far far far in advance of moral privatives? Obviously yes. (Not all of us, just as some modern people don't know medicine or science or modern psychology.)

The Cylons were NOT created by man. In the books and the original series, Cylons were made by Cylons, a reptilian species. Ronald D. Moore changed the origin of the Cylons for the reboot, as he felt the idea if Cylons being created by a reptilian species was "corny". I watched HIS pilot and never watched again. His version is NOT BSG and never will be!

Perhaps our most ethical decisions should be based more on the potential of the present rather than that of the past. But nowadays I personally prefer how an Ancient Aliens episode might address it rather than a Star Trek episode.

I think the more "militarized" Starfleet is fine. That doesn't mean they're warlike; just highly disciplined. These ships take a lot of time and resources to build and have hundreds of lives aboard. You want everyone to be able to do their job blindfolded and backwards.

I like Jellico he is a good war time captain and once the ship was brought up to standards he would have eased up alot. Jellico was on a tight schedule as he said he doesnt have time for a honeymoon with the crew and in combat you want your leader to have everything set to his standard because you never know that split second in combat could be the difference between life and death.
